In the System Engineering of Electronic Commerce, Electronic Payment (E-payment) is the essential link; it is also a basic factor to proceed with Electronic Commerce (E-commerce). In the E-commerce activities, each party is connected by internet, an open public platform, and all information are transmitted through the internet, thus, the intemet electronic payment will have to face the security problems.The Electronic Payment System is designed to solve the security problems of capital flow and data streams exchanging swiftly among the E-commerce participators through the Internet. This payment system consists of customers, merchants and banks. Customers and merchants make transactions and submit payment information to banks. and then the banks handle the information to finish the transactions. On the basis of E-commerce and E-payment theories, the thesis discusses and analyses some security techniques such as information encryption, digital signature and digital certificate related to E-payment on Internet banking. In terms of the design principles of SSL and SET, the paper also makes a study on the security of E-payment and issues the solution's design model of Internet Secure Payment System, including the general design of E-payment System, procedure and function designs. In the end of this thesis, the design and practice of the interface between merchants and banks are described.
