Softswitch System Information Exchange, Synchronization And Backup Of A Design And Implementation

Nowadays, Internet is progressing in dramatic high speed. As the increase of new services and the rise of users, Internet is required to provide the new services promptly The integration of network and business also becomes urgent. Open interfaces are offered to Service Providers by Softswitch which has emerged at this time. This technology also solves the coexistence problems of multi-net, multi-technology and multi-system. And it becomes one of the core technologies of NGN (Next Generation Network).As the Softswitch technology becomes more and more popular and important in Internet. It is required that the core equipment of the Softswitch technology has such specialties as stabilization, disaster tolerance and auto recoverability. Many equipment manufacturers adopt the backup function to achieve this requirement.The thesis is organized as follows. The background and the origin of the project are introduced firstly. Then the outline of Softswitch technology, information synchronization, and Backup technology are also reviewed. Then the characteristics of Softswitch system are analyzed, several methods of information backup and their advantages and disadvantages are thoroughly reviewed, and several schemes of net topology structures of Softswitch system in practice and their characteristics are analyzed respectively. Next, combined with the characteristics of the Softswitch mainstream protocols, the net topology structures and applications, a solution of information backup problem of Softswitch system is proposed. This project has integrated with XE series Softswitch server of HUAWEI-3COM, completed the tests, and been used in testing net. Finally, the solution is discussed and then the advantages and disadvantages of the solution are pointed out.
