Therefore, increasingly importance has been attached to Computer Rank Examination by non-computer major's students in college.Under the background of Computer Rank Examination mode of Sichuan province at present, on the basis of a profound analysis of existing Computer Band 1 Test mode of our school and other common computer basis examination system at present, this paper established a application model for Computer Band 1 Test of Sichuan province. With fit for status quo of our school and provided a convenient, efficient, security environment for numerous candidates. The system adopted three-tier network architecture based on browser, which was divided into three main parts including presentation layer, function layer and data layer. Presentation layer provided user interface part. COM components were deployed on function layer which implemented all core processing functions. Information of papers, candidates and teachers were all stored in data layer.The paper mainly studied modeling the examination system with UML, Paper-generating technology, automatic paper grading system development based on ASP.NET, basic technologies of automatic grading for Office operating questions and basic algorithm of documentation evaluation. This network exam system could perform questions bank management, test management, system administration and automatic grading for Office operating questions. questions bank management realized editing questions bank, importing & exporting paper, manual and automatic Paper-generating based on genetic algorithm, etc. test management achieved candidates'login, supervising, automatic grading for objective items and Office operating questions, etc. system administration implemented inquiry and management of candidates'information, teacher's information, score-counting and other information. The difficulty points of system are automatic grading for Office operating questions. The Solution was extracting varied setting information from paper which contained Office operating questions, compared this information to that of from standard answers sheet, then the score was decided.
