With the rapid development of computer technology and internet technology, drive the distance education of booming development. Distance education is the education network technology in the development of the product of driving. Many education experts think distance education associations to become an inevitable trend in the development of future. On-line examination system in modern distance education system as a sub-system of remote education, is one of the key process to realize remote education is to guarantee the quality of teaching important means one. Compared with the traditional test, on-line examination system not only can save you a lot of manpower and material resources, but also can improve the efficiency and quality of exam. Experts predict that network exam system will replace traditional ways of examination. This paper focuses on the function of on-line examination system on the basis of study, and discussed based on the genetic algorithm is on-line examination system design and practice.Genetic algorithm is random search and optimizing method what is used to solve complex problems by simulates the natural selection in biosystem and the mechanism of aberrance in heredity.It is a kind of intelligent algorithm. It has some significant characteristics such as simple and universal, and robust, suitable parallel processing and high effective, practical, widely used in automatic industries and works well. Genetic algorithm was applied in on-line examination system in this paper, can solve traditional sets algorithm existing "group of roll slow and low success, sets quality" shortcomings. Maximum satisfy the needs of the users, it is scientific, reasonable and better practicability.Using the methods of literature analysis, case analysis, system science, instructional design, object-oriented design, the paper has carried out from the following five aspects.1,Understand on-line examination system developing situation at home and abroad, study education meterage theory, such as Classical Test Theory and the Item Response Theory, and in-depth research under the Classical Test Theory about difficulty and validity of such indicators degree of distinction. For the construction of the item bank provide theoretical basis and provide constraints for the math model.2,According to papers index system, establish auto-composing test paper multi-objective optimization function model. Further study genetic algorithm, and using the genetic algorithm for solving mathematical model. Combined with the actual situation, the analysis of the demand for more detailed, through to reasonable abstract, determine the structure and function of the whole system, formulate system design scheme.3,Study and research relevant database technology, ASP.NET technology, Ajax technology and security strategy.4,According to the system designing, make sure the system development environment and system structure. System uses three layers of B/S model development.5,On-line examination system design and practiceThe paper using classical measure theory, referred and has analyzed the massive domestic and foreign correlations literature,constructivism learning theory as the theoretical basis of item construction, according to a series of papers index established auto-generating test paper multi-objective optimization mathematical model. By genetic algorithm for the automatic group established mathematical model is solved by volume, the genetic algorithm is used to on-line examination system. The paper is using object-oriented method to design the on-line examination system. The on-line examination system bases on Browser/Server structure,the C# technology and SQL-Server 2005 database.This paper studied of multi-objective optimization mathematical model and common sets of genetic algorithm especially algorithm, in a certain degree promote the development of roll algorithm, has certain theoretical meaning and realistic significance.
