With the progress of technology about information and integrate circuit, there is fast renovation involved in embedded application. The important character of embedded development is to meet the demand of diverse applications. The diversity of embedded application is associated with the diversity of hareware platform which advances the strict demand for the bottom design of embedded operation system. So in the embedded development, it is important to make research on the bottom design technology of system software with divesre hardware platforms.The bottom design of the software and hardware for the embedded platform mainly relates to the following parts:1.Design of embedded development environment involving cross-compilation environment, cross-debugging environment.2.Design of the embedded hardware platform, involves hardware platform selection, address allocation.3.Design of U-Boot transplantation, including start procedure analysis, transplantation analysis.4.Design of the portability of embedded operation system, mainly about kernel structure analysis and transplantation analysis.5.Design of the driver, mainly about hardware analysis and Linux driver development.Meanwhile,in recent years, the security guard as a modern security system means, more and more are entering the field for a variety of applications in various industries. Smart home has become an inevitable trend in high-tech development. In addition, the lack of new broadband network profit growth in the broadband network has developed new business imminent. Security gateway of ARM-based equipment combined with wireless alarm signal coding transceiver module is fully capable of resolving these two issues.Based XXX Security Gateway, according to the development order, the paper gives the key technical solutions for above four embedded development process.The pater will introduce the following contents step by step:Summarization of the projection.Analysis of the hardware platform.Cross-development environment Construction.Transplantion of the U-Boot and uClinux.Specific driver development.
