Workflow Engine And Its Applied Research In E-government

As one of the most rapidly developing new technologies in recent years, workflow technology implements the separation of the application logic and process logic in information systems, it is the key technology to achieve business process automation. As the core of workflow technology, the realization of workflow engine is the foundation work to realize other workflow technology. Therefore, the research of workflow engine has increasingly become the focus of people's attention.The research is based on the "e-government software platform", researches the status of workflow engine in e-government fields, designed and realized the lightweight engine based on J2EE technology applying to e-government fields (LWE4EG). Shows the architecture of LWE4EG, analyzes of the work principle and cooperation of the process parser, process manager, activity manager, process navigator and task manager, introduced the detailed design of LWE4EG, and shows the realization of key technology of process parser and process navigator. Realized the prototype system of LWE4EG using Java/J2EE technology, and tested the prototype system using the daily management of e-government software, archives the expected results.Starting from lightweight, LWE4EG discards the defect of EJB in traditional J2EE taking cumbersome system, large overhead and hard transplant, instead using struts and hibernate technology, which makes the engine can cross database and platform, and can embed application system conveniently.
