With the development of the network technology, the Application developed with the traditional Two-tiered method has many problems, for example, performance, security, and maintenance, etc. The later proposed three-tiered architecture improves the extension, efficiency, and scaleability of networking applications.On the base of above, this paper proposes a three-tiered Application sever model .and implements a reconstructable structure of the networking application server ,which has been applied in the ICETIP (Information-Centered Enterprise Transaction-Integrated Processing System).First, this paper analyzes disadvantages of the C/S mode development technologies, and compares the several service models, then designs a structure of a extended-multiplexing model, and implements the application server, with the functionalities of connecting thread pool and the message handling pool and database connection pool.Then, based on the Application server designed above, this paper analyzes the efficiency of the server service model, focused on the efficiency of connecting thread-pool, the server cluster and the relation of the connecting-thread number and the client number which one thread serves.At last, for the threats of the network attack, we design an intrusion detection system, base on the analysis of the network protocols, and the system. Service modes.In the end, the paper also analyzes the future of the Three-tiered structure for networking applications.
