| Meta-Search engine is based on component search engine, it's an important branch of search engine technology, and it's also an important part of the development of search engine. Map search is the new star in search engine market, and it's also an important application in electronic map. If we combine their excellence, we can do the research of search engine from a different position, this is very important for the development of search engine. The article applied Meta-Search theory to map search, and built such a system: users get multi search results with only once input, then many map search engines will return results, the system will analyze these results and return the information to users which they need.The works I have done list blow:(1) At the beginning, the article made a brief introduction for Meta-Search engine, discussed the possibility of applying Meta-Search technology to map search, and discussed the production we already have.(2) Introduced the problems we should solve when apply Meta-Search technology to map search, the problems include: the method to construct such a system combine Meta-Search technology and map search, the method that analyze the input address, the method that get result from independent search engines, the method to analyze the results, and the method to find out a best solution (map direction) from these results.(3) We use B/S structure to construct the system. Then the article make a carefully compare to the technology that may be used, build the system with most possibility method, which makes the system fit the requirement.(4) The article made a simple evaluation for this system, and set up test-items to test this system, work out the production and the experience on the application of Meta-Search technology by the test results.(5)At last, the article made a conclusion to point out the problems exists in the research of Meta-Search technology, clarified the location of Meta-Search engine's development and Meta-Search engine's develop direction. |
