Research And Implementation Of Chinese Meta Search Engine Based On Web

Information retrieval is one of main purposes as we browse internet, there are some technical problem need to further improve in the two major Chinese search engines Google and Baidu, such as how to increase the precision for multi keyword enquiry, how to increase the recall by designing a Chinese Meta Search Engine(C.M.S.E.), how to shorten the search time, etc.In this paper, to increase the search precision mainly, we study and develop a C.M.S.E. with following approaches:(1)To choose the meta search engine's data sources, we compare the seven most popular ten Chinese search engines by recall and search time, taking care of html parsering, and make choice of Baidu and ZhongSou as the basic data sources.(2) We propose a C.M.S.E. whole frame with three modules: enquiry submit agent, retrieval connection agent and result merge agent, their work flow are introduced too.(3)We use the most popular open resource technology htmlparser to parse the html text and abstract the useful information, comparing with another meta research development, which improving the time and the codes efficiency.(4)In the meta search engine design and implementation,we used the MVC model design pattern, this pattern is the present widespread one kind of software design pattern based on web, the MVC English is Model-View-Controller, namely an application input, processing, the output flow according to Model, View, the Controller way carries on the separation, this kind of application is divided into three levels――models level, the view level, the control level.(5)In the meta search engine design and implementation,we proposed the database system, the software system, the man-machine contact surface design proposal, provided the user to register the contact surface, let each inquiry user be able to carry on the personalization adjustment to own search result.This paper chose Chinese Meta search engine to take the research object. According to analyzes full-text search engine, directory search engine excellence and disadvantage, we introduced the meta-search engine, then used some new thought and the new means to implement Meta search engine. Facing the user search engine demand, we pointed out the next research direction.
