Analysis of microstrip structure has very practical importance because of its extensive applications in many fields. The importance is significant for the complex structures used in multi-frequency antenna and broad-band antenna. In this thesis, equivalent theory of analyzing the scattering from antennas is investigated, the equivalent circuits are established and the principle of antenna scattering is proposed. The equivalent theory has both advantages and disadvantages, on one side it's easy to understand and calculate, on the other side it can not analyze specific electromagnetic filed in the system. Then, on basis of Method of Moment, expressions of spectrum Green's functions of microstrip and multi-layer structures are discussed. Single-layer microstrip structures are also calculated. For the dual-layer microstrip structure, the upper patches can be considered as frequency selecting surface. Generalized scattering matrix can be used efficiently to analyze dual-layer microstrip antenna. At the end, some models are simulated and researched through HFSS.
