Analysis of the scattering characteristic of electromagnetic targets plays an important role in radar technology. Diffraction of wedges is one of the most important mechanisms of scattering.The content of this article is focused on the scattering of perfectly electronic conducting cones and organized as follows. The first section introduces the concept of radar cross section and the basic theories of electromagnetic fields. There are several common methods to be used to calculate the radar cross section of scattering objects. The second section presents the physical optics method and the equivalent current method with doubly diffraction respectively. At the ends of every parts of this section, some calculation results with these methods are provided. The third section analyses the radiation fields from an antenna behind a finite conducting cone. The last section shows the method of moment to prove above results given by high frequency methods.
