With the development of computer technology and radio wave technology, the technology of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is concerned by every walk of life nowadays. The companies require more application solutions based on RFID. Because of the disunity complexion of standard in the developing phase, there are lots of problems during the process of RFID application.The tradition architecture model of Client/Server is applied in many enterprise information systems. It is an outstanding method for building system. It can take advantage of the hardware environment of client and server by using this architecture. It distributes tasks to client and server rationally and reduces the communication spending. In additional, Middleware technology provides the most efficient method to interoperating in heterogeneous DBMS environment and sharing data resource. To access the heterogeneous data resources and shield the diversity of hardware server, it extends the C/S architecture by adding middleware function in the server.The existing RFID middleware is developed based on the existing middleware platform as a choice part in a general way. In additional, They do not support standards on different organizations roundly. It results more spending. The deployment of RFID middleware is complex. Moreover, the support about different standards is not enough. As the result, the existing RFID middleware can't meet the need of pint-sized or medium-sized businesses enterprise. In additional, the existing RFID middleware employs Store-and-Forward model, the complex architecture affects the real-time process of data. To resolve the problem about RFID technology in the application development and build an application which supports different standard, transacts efficiently, adepts well to pint-sized or medium-sized businesses enterprise. We design the system based on Client/Server architecture which is integrated with ACE and middleware technology.This thesis contains two parts. The first one discusses the background of some kinds of technology which is used in application and then analyses them. Firstly, it expatiates the broad applying C/S architecture. The content contains its model, its merits and disadvantages, its developing condition. Secondly, it introduces the middleware technology based on its solution in isomerous environment and interoperation. It also analyses the definition of middleware and its merits and disadvantages. After that, it gives some designs about middleware what are based on C/S architecture. Thirdly, the discussion on ACE describes base information about this technology. In the second part, the thesis discusses the idiographic system of location and monitor in colliery and how we can develop this system by using the technology what is analysed in the first part. The background of whole system is described firstly, and then the thesis introduces the RFID technology what is as the instrument on information collection. In the second section, the author analyses the requirement of system and describes the shortcomings of the existing RFID middleware technology, puts forward the concept of ACE-RFID middleware and its design goal. And then the author designs the architecture which is based on C/S and ACE. The last section concretely describes the design and implement of server and client by using ACE.In the conclusion section, the author summarizes this thesis and point out that the development of this system achieves the anticipative goal and puts forwards the disadvantages and something what can be extended during the coming development.
