With the development of Virtual Reality (VR) and scene simulation technology, the simulation technique has been more and more widely applied to all kinds of filed. In the process of developing large scene simulation system, the conventional object-oriented design methods are limited. Now, software architecture research not only focuses on the design phase, but also covers every phase of software lifecycle. Under its guidance to the whole developing process, software architecture can improve the software development efficiency further to meet the user's requirement precisely, but also improve the reusability and flexibililty sufficiently.This paper introduces the conception of software architecture to the requirement analysis. Through researching the characteristics of scene simulation system, a new scene simulation software architecture-Multiengine-Presentation-Controller-Model (MPCM) is introduced. Further more, using the method based on the software pattern, we design and implement the software architecture.Firstly, the software patterns and software architecture are discussed. Secondly, based on their sameness and the differentia concluded through the requirements analysis of the project Digital Rocket Scene Simulation System in detail, the components of software architecture are designed and defined, and through combining these components, the scene simulation software architecture MPCM is presented. At last, the software architecture is implemented, and the application of MPCM is introduced.
