Media Gateway Based On The Megaco Protocol Test System Development

Global telecom industry is undergoing the innovation from the traditional network to the next generation network (NGN) nowadays. However the big challenge is interwork issue between different company product because each telecom product manufactor maybe follow different standard or there are different understanding to a standard.Some telecom standard groups are doing research on the protocol specification, such as ITU and ETSI, China Telecom also gave lots of NGN standard up to now. Regarding as all of the telecom product manufactor, their NGN products must meet the specification requirement. So the protocol test is very important and it exists in the entiry product development life cycle, a good test tool can help developer to verify product's protocol conformance.This paper introduces the architecture of NGN and the Megaco protocol firstly. According to the test requirement, a protocol test system was reseached and developed based on the Megaco protocol, in this paper, it is mainly focus on the development of Megaco layer and the transport layer. Operation guide and some examples are given finially.
