Display and control system of radar, which displays the radar information, and provides an interface to control the radar, is an important component of a radar. In a modern radar system, the display and control system based on computer is widely applied. And it is a major task for such a display and control system to manage its displaying elements and to communicate with other components of the radar.During the process of a new radar system design, the form of the data usually is various. In many radars, respective assembling or disassembling functions are written for each data exchange frame separately. When the exchange data are various, there would be too many codes to be programmed. Thus, the maintenance of the programs would become more difficult. In this paper, a solution---designing a generator for assembling or disassembling the data exchange frame---is given.Secondly, the radar terrain masking is important to analyzing of radar images. In many radars, the analysis of. terrain masking is not provided. The situation of terrain masking is analyzed manually by operators. In this paper, a solution of judging targets to be detected is given by Mapinfo for radar terrain masking.Finally, reusability and extendibility are important to the display module. In many radars, separate independent display program is written for each radar display mode. The difference between these programs makes the maintenances difficult.
