Three-dimensional reconstruction of medical image is one of key technology in field of medical visualization, by using this technology, doctor can attain more information about patient's body then to make better and accurate diagnosis. nowadays, doctor tend to diagnose by observing a series of slices of CT,MRI images, It mainly depends on the doctors'experiences in reading slices and maybe get qualitative information. In order to get the more intuitionistic and accurate information about conditions of a patient's body, 3D reconstruction of medical images is becoming more important.In this paper, I focus on two technology about 3D reconstruction. First, I introduce surface rendering principle and MC algorithm. Second, I introduce direct volume rendering technology and offer a detailed introduction about the relevant content of volume rendering, including the concept, characteristic, optics model, approximate combination equation and the process of volume rendering. Third, By analyzing and studying class of VTK,in VC++6.0,I have realized the 3D reconstruction of medical data in two ways. It can make interaction operations on the 3D graphics such as translation,rotation and scale.By analyzing the performance of surface rendering and direct volume rendering technology. Summarizing their evolution,and proposing a new acceleration algorithm based on space data relativity in order to get real time rendering. effective way is obtained to induce computing about volume rendering.
