Design And Implementation Of The Front System Of Digital Tv Users

The Subscriber Management System(SMS) for Digital TV plays a crucial role in DTV Broadcasting System and it is the foundation for developing other services. DTV Operators can not make much profit without an excellent SMS. Most of the existing SMS systems evolved from Analog Addressing Management System or from Telecom Subscriber Management System. The first one has only single function. It can only manage the signal for subscriber and switch it on or off. It can not manage the TV content for subscribers. So it is not suitable for operation. The second one does not take into account the particularity of the DTV Broadcasting System and it mainly manages subscriber information and charge policies but it's weak to manage the TV contents and policies. With the development of various DTV services and increasing subscribers, the existing SMS systems are out of date and it is necessary to develop a new kind of SMS for DTV.This project developed a foreground application system in a SMS and it is a system which can manage subscriber affairs and business services. After carefully analyze of user requirements and Performance Requirements, the project adopts three layer system architecture based on web and Object Oriented Data Base System. Comparing with existing SMS systems, this system can manage both of the Analog TV subscribers and Digital TV subscribers and it can implement 5"W", that is to manage"Who","When","What kind of charge policy"and"Which TV programs". It is fit for operation. The system has perfect functions, excellent performance and advanced architecture.This thesis introduces the background of this project at first. And then, it analyzes the requirement of this system and the architecture of the system. After that, it introduces the business hall, call-center and Self-service terminals. The three modules were introduced particularly from the idea of system design principle, partition of the modules and the realization of each one in details. And these subsystems all achieved the function tests.This system has been provided to Guangyuan Digital TV Broadcasting Company for using. So far, the system's performances are excellent and stable, and the system can fully achieve the goal of expectation.
