The Security System plays an important part in politics, military affairs, cultures, productions, and life establishments. With the development of the computer networks, communications technology, and multimedia technology, digital, networking and intelligent technology have become the important research topics of the Security System.In order to enlarge the productions, and improve technological, the General Group of Jinan decided to perform technological transformation. The new factory covers 1000 mu of land, including the production area, the living area, and more than 20 office buildings. How to protect the new building factory is an urgent solution.According to the observation of the new factory, this paper designs a powerful and advanced Security System based on digital network. This system is used for real-time protection and management of the new plant, and is of great significance for the property and production safety. The system can also be used for access to the important room and channels, preventing the entry of the unrelated people. It can also recode the-degree and time of the people who have entered these places, and can improve the management level of the enterprise.In this paper, there is a whole design for the system, including the Digital Video Surveillance System, Access Control System, and Alarm System. The three separate system can join together, and consist a whole Security System of the factory. The analog signals will be translated into digital signals, through the correspond network communications modules, and then they will be linked to the LAN of the factory. The special Security System network is built on the third-level interactive and VLAN technology, and can prevent the influence of VLAN of the other system, reduce the flow of the main network, improve the speed of the network, ensure the stability of real-time streaming media transmission. The Access Control and Alarm System adopt the C/S configuration, the Video Surveillance system adopt the B/S configuration, they build a Web server, realize the long-distance control through IE. Through multithreading technology, Video Surveillance System adopts Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) and RTCP, and realizes self-adaptive network congestion control, and ensure the smooth transmission stability. The Terminal Server and browser software are designed by the multimedia development tool-DirectShow, realize the basic image processing functions. In this paper there is deep study to the technologies of network communication, streaming media transmission, B/S and C/S software configuration,image processing,image coding and decoding, network congestion control.It also analyzes the causes of the some problems in the actual project and give the possible solve methods.This system is one of the most important parts of technological transformation. The success construction of this system will not only solve the problem of security , but also the design method is very useful to multi-point security in broad area.
