Application Of Rfid In Retail Store Inventory Management Information Systems Analysis And Design

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology is a none-contact automatic identification technology realized by radio frequency communication. Electronic Product Code (EPC) standard is one of the coding standards under RFID standard's system. In the light of the long waiting time caused to customers at point-of-sale of retail enterprises, which use bar code identification technology, by that the merchandise identification and information collection is conducted by manpower and the only one merchandise can be identified each time, this thesis employed the thought of Object Oriented information system development to fulfill the analysis and design of a retail sales-market replenish-sale-stock management information system . The system utilized RFID technology at point-of-sale to realize un-visible, multi-object and un-manual identification so that the speed of merchandise identification and information collection is very much raised which shortens the check out time of customers to have the quality of enterprise service improved, and which saves the labor cost of the enterprise. At the same time, the paper use the EPC standard in it's merchandise coding to realize item level management to the merchandises which will raise the merchandise management and inventory management level, and improve the enterprise's ability of anti-shoplifting.
