This paper mainly engages in the methods of detection and imaging of moving targets with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), especially for slow moving targets in severe scatter background. This is the main purpose to this dissertation. The first chapter summarizes the development of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technique and the Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) technique, then summarizes its development of our country. The second chapter discusses the imaging principles of SAR. First, we explain the basic principles of the SAR. Second, discusses the Range-Doppler imaging principle and Chirp-Scaling imaging principle, then use the computer to simulate with the real data. The third chapter discusses the Ground Moving Target Indicator technique. First, founds the model of moving point target and discusses the effect of the movement to the echo Doppler center frequency and Doppler rate. Finally, we discusses some arithmetic of Moving Target Indicator, such as spectral-filter method and Displaced Phase Center Antenna (DPCA) method, then we simulate it with the synthesize data. The forth chapter studies the arithmetic of Along-Track Interferometry (ATI). First, we setting up the geometry model of the arithmetic, then we study the principle of the arithmetic. Second, we study a method of ATI detecting processing in SAR range-Doppler domain, then we use the computer to simulate it with the synthesize data. Finally, we discusses another method using three apertures to detect the moving target.
