Abstract/Summary:
The fully adaptive radar (FAR) is capable of jointly optimizing the transmit waveform and receiver filter according to the change of the environment, so that its detection and identification performance can be significantly improved. The FAR is an important research area in the modern radars. The thesis mainly discusses the FAR application in resisting the co-channel narrow band interferences. Main works are as follows:1 The principles of the FARs are introduced, the performance limitations of the conventional radars in eliminating the co-channel narrowband interferences are analyzed, and the structure and principles of the FARs to reject the interferences are described in details.2 The waveform generation techniques of the FARs in the environment of co-channel interferences are studied. Two adaptive methods to null the interferences at the interference frequencies are introduced.3 The adaptive signal processing techniques of the FARs in the environment of co-channel interferences are studied. The adaptive sidelobe suppression techniques are introduced and simulated.4 A simulator of the FARs is developed and it is useful for further research.
