With the development of the exploiture technology on computer software and the popularization of using network, the desktop application system base on C/S is developed and used effectively to enhance work efficiency and predigest work flow. Nowadays it is common to use such mode in the development of desktop application by using a logical software framwork, while taking popular developing intrument as the flatform , the safe and effective DBMS as the background DP centre. The system used in the management of teaching materials in colleges and universities is mainly aimed for the management department of teaching materials in colleges and polytechnics. And it is quite necessary to develop such a proper and suitable administrater software, for the management of teaching materils has its own specialties, trivial, coplex, numerous, difficult to unify, etc, and also it faces some practical problems, for example , difficult in finding a suitable edition in the material-booking , hard to inquire about information of fees, unclear about the making use of the materials of each department, and the incomplete recording of providing materials to studetns. The system adopt JBuilder as a flat, Java as the language, Oracle as the data management center, C/S as the desktop with long-distance data-base visiting ability. Java as the network-design language has its peculiarties, high security and transplantability . Oracle as the data management center is able to validate the user effectively, insure the data security , promote the DBMS.The system visits oracle data-base (from distance) through JDBC technic in a mode of thin client end . With the premise of passing the oracle user data visiting popedom , by system popedom setting mode, to set up a suitable user popedom more scientifically, therefore to reach...
