China Network Education Learning Support Services Research

Online education (also named as modern distance education) turns out to be an important part of higher education of our country. Now, there have been 67 traditional universities involved in this new project, due to the drive of the government and the attention from the society. However, some issues on this or that aspect will be inevitable as online education in our country is still a new thing. The quality of online education gets the abroad attention from the academic areas among all the issues. Thus, the research of the student support services gets on the agenda for its role in online education as one of three core systems.This dissertation aims at student support services analyzed by four chapters. Chapter one is based on the historical practice and current situation of student support service. Chapter two coordinates the relative theories on student support service and summarizes some successful experiences from west countries especially three representatives. Chapter three is focused on the current analysis of our practice of student support service and the main problems existed. Finally, the suggestions on improvement and implementation are given through theoretical and empirical analysis.
