The FPGA-based hardware implementation of the transmitter of the merged blue print for digital terrestrial television broadcasting in china has been completed in this project. The main hardware-platform is based on the Altra's Statix series FPGA chip EP1S80F1020C5.The realization of the energy dispersal, LDPC-coding, symbol interleaving, constellation mapping, synchro-PN insertion,3780-point IFFT OFDM, interplation FIR ,etc have been implemented based on FPGA. In this dissertation, the developing status quo of DTV, which is followed by the structure introduction of the merged blue print, is introduced firstly. And then the related knowledge about FPGA design is presented. The FPGA design of the whole transmitter of the merged blue print system except the LDPC-coding part is been importantly expatiated in chapter 3.And the simulation, analysis and validation of the merged blue print system is also well done in chapter 3.In chapter 4, the FPGA realization of the test platform of narrowband digital television based on LDPC-coding is briefly introduced. So is the analysis and validation result of the test platform. What I have mainly done in the project is listed as follows:1. Read papers associated with the project and get familiar with the basic principles of the system.2. Establish the FPGA design structure of the whole system and finish the interface definition of every sub-module.3. Complement the FPGA design and validation of the 3780-point IFFT OFDM module.4. Complement the FPGA design and validation of the 4-interpaltion 169-tap SRRC-FIR filter module.5. Finish the simulation, analysis and validation of the merged blue print system.6. Complement the the FPGA realization of the test platform of narrowband digital television based on LDPC-coding and finish the analysis and validation of the test platform.
