Software reuse is a solution to construct a new system by using existed software production or project knowledge, which can avoid repeated work in the software development. It is regarded as a viable approach to solve the software crisis, promote efficiency and quality of software production. As a kernel technique to support software reuse, software component technique develops rapidly and becomes a discipline branch of paying close attention to in recent years. Software component technology was widely used nowadays in the process of traditional software development, thus make the software developing more efficient than ever. The aim in researching embedded component is to introduce software component technology in the area of embedded applications.With the background of the work in "the developing platform and key technologies for vehicle electric system" and "the developing platform based on component for intelligence electrical appliance" which belongs to National 863 High Tech Program(863 Program), this dissertation mainly focus on the research of the embedded component technology, analyses general component model and current embedded component model, researches the embedded component technology for different domains on the basis of embedded system characteristics, shows two embedded component models for special domain: "embedded component model based on intertask communication", "embedded model based on assembly language source code". In these models, the embedded component model based on intertask communication has the advantages such as support for real-time scheduling, demanding less underlying technologies support and consuming less resource. The embedded model based on assembly language source code is the technology reusing on source code, the embedded component model in the primary phase.This dissertation shows how to adopt component technology in embedded system, introduce the process of embedded developing based on component. This dissertation discusses how to adopt two different embedded component model in the "vehicle electric" domain and "intelligence electrical appliance" domain, and the reason to make such a design.
