Distributed Interference

Distributed jamming device is developed from airborne jammer with pilotless aircraft and air balloon. It's often used to cover the special target in special area or is used to make false attacking situation. These small light and cheap jamming devices always are thrown to the area near the target. They are manipulated or not to jam the foe's military electronic device such as radar and radio etc. The device weighs about one kilogram and is as big as mauley. They are often used in self-screening jamming or in covering the group targets.Traditional jammer jams not only foes'electronic device but also friends'. Because distributed jamming devices are thrown in the place which is far away from friends'position, then the problem will be solved easily. Close distance, high-power and varieties jamming signals are the biggest advantages of this kind of jamming.When blanket jamming is used, the more the ratio between the power of jamming and the power of signal, the less detection probability of the radar is. The effect of distributed jamming mainly depends on the total power. After distributed, the randomicity of distance and phase of jamming source bring difficulties to analysis.This dissertation mainly takes research works as follows:1. Analyzing exposed zone in distributed jamming.2. Direction of radar's antenna to the available power of distributed jamming.3. The influence of total power of jamming signals is also been involved in this dissertation.4. Based on these theories, various distributed jamming signals and different power are taken on the simulation platform of PD radar.5. Using simply designed distributed jamming devices jam DSS-SS radio. All these verify the theory.The effects of those research works show this kind of jamming is very useful. Contrast to traditional jamming, distributed jamming have it's own characteristic. This kind of jamming will be more and more important in EW(Electronic Warfare).
