Access Network is one of the most challenging zones in the whole Tele-network. For satisfying the increasing bandwidth to the users and realizing the high-speed, broad-band and intelligence of the access network, lots of access technologies emerge endlessly, for example LAN, xDSL, Cable Modem, PLC etc. But the most promising technology is Optical Access technology. Passive Optical Network (PON) is outstanding for its easy maintenance, broad bandwidth and low cost. PON is a perfect physical platform, for it can access audio, data, video and others services through one platform. And EPON is perfectly combined by Ethernet technology of the data link layer and the PON technology of the physical layer.In Ethernet Passive Optical Network technology, MAC Protocol is a very pivotal technology, and it has been paid attention to by lots of researchers for a long time. EPON is based on the MPCP mechanism of MAC controlling sublayer, and automatic entering and enrolling are completed, then up-direction access bandwidth allocation of multi-ONUs can be implemented by MPCP protocol. The uplink access dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm is a hotspot of the research at home and abroad now. It is the key of realizing uplink access in EPON that how to design a fair, high-performance and supporting different service QoS dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm.In this thesis, firstly dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm TGOGT where the two groups of ONU are granted in turn and allocation bandwidth according to the characteristic of network traffic and their delay request for different service is brought forward In TGOGT, all ONUs in the system are departed into two groups, and the queue-threshold was set for every group. Two groups of ONUs report and grant in turn, as the network load changes, OLT converts the way of granting every ONU.Then, the algorithm SB-DBA which is based on SLA is brought forward according to the actual needs of the carrier. In this algorithm, the minimum guarantee bandwidth and the weighting factor which is used for allocating the residual bandwidth are brought forward. Every ONU can report several queue requests.
