Advanced control technology has unique advantages on guaranteeing the product quality, improving the product accepts rate, reducing production cost, decreasing environment pollution etc. It can improve the enterprise's economy efficiency, strengthen enterprise's competition ability. These has make it become the research issue of automationarea. Combined with advantages of another new technology------OPC (OLE for ProcessControl) , this thesis carried on research and development of advanced control software.The thesis had constructed the advanced control software frame based on OPC technology , described the design and realization of each module of the software frame. Firstly, it discussed the feature , development and technique criterion of OPC, and its integration application in industrial control system, and described the OPC Data Access criterion in detail. Secondly , It elaborated how to develop the OPC data communication interface with the OPC's automation interface in Visual C++, and finally realized the data communication between the advanced control software and industrial configuration of supervise and control or other software which provided the function of OPC server.The thesis taked the Dynamic Matrix Control(DMC),an extensively-used predictive control technique ,as the control algorithm of the advanced control software frame. On the base of analysing the principle of DMC, the thesis developed the DMC software module. As most of advanced control techniques based on process model, further more, the thesis developed an identification algorithm module for the process model. In addition, as DMC refered to a lot of process data, control data and controller parameter, the thesis developed a database system which integrated with the advanced control software. Then, we analyzed the application of the software. It compared the simulated application result of DMC control and PID control on big time-delay object on the software frame ,to make out that DMC control had better control performance. In the end, we tested the OPC communication interface of the advanced control software . We emphasized on taking iFIX industrial software as an example to illuminate the process and result of integrated application of the advanced control software and industrial control software ,and provided the results of testing with other software which had OPC server to testify the validity and open character of the OPC communication interface developed on the thesis.By the research of the thesis ,1 realized that advanced control software can improve the development efficiency greatly and can be commonly used preferablely . It can either perform by itself independent on industrial configuration software of supervise and control ,also can perform assorted with it. It can be forecasted that the advanced control software based on OPC technology have the vast application foreground, owning to it's upstanding open character and good maintainability.
