This server is brought forward because of the simplex function of actual digital home 's framework solving methods, it is a combination of home entertainment , device controlling and information service.This paper also realizes the hardware layer and the hardware abstraction layer of the home server according to the home server' s framework. The design of the hardware layer includes the selection of the microprocessor of the home server, the configuration of the memory system, the selection of device interface in home network and the internet interface. The hardware abstraction layer mainly realizes the boot technology of the operating system.Through this server, users can scan and control the state of devices in home; they also can play game on Internet, order video and enjoy entertainment on Internet.
