The paper introduces the function, construction and theory of planar simulator. According to the request, the paper designs the planar simulator, which is simulated by the software Pro/E. Aimed at the performance requirements, the paper researches control ways of the simulator' s servo system in order to find a better one to get better characteristic. Further more, the paper also se.s up each model of the parts of the system first , and based on them, get the total model of the object ,the total model has a very important reference worth , t can be used in numeric simulation . Two control arithmetic were presented, than the paper gets each results by programming with the software MATLAB and Simulink At last, according to the analysis of the results, the paper draws a conclusion that the Expert PID control way is a better one.
