Migration To Stop The Server In The Workflow System Design And Implementation

The migrating workflow is a new direction within the workflow management research. In light of the complexity of the business process goal, the workflow is completed by one or more migrating instances, of which everyone executes a sub-process of the workflow.In migrating workflow system, the Anchorage is the platform providing execution environment for the Migrating Instances. It should provide an integration framework for support services and application services, and adapt itself to the changes of its execution environments and the requirements of the workflow applications. These services which are used to support the deployment, execution and management of the workflow include security, migration, communication, transaction control, execution of tasks, cooperation, tolerance, exception handling, monitor, resource management and etc.This paper presents research on the anchorage based on the definition of migrating workflow service, according to the conceptual model and reference architecture of the migrating workflow. Some key techniques about this model such as the integration and organization of the service components, the deployment of the application service are discussed, and a migration workflow system prototype is constructed and archived.The anchorage adopts microkernel pattern architecture and component technology. It is made of a kernel which provides the most fundamental functions that support the running of the migrating instance and some plugins encapsulating the services in each, such as migration, communication, application service search and etc. The user can customize the anchorage according to its role and the requirements of the deploying environment and applications. The plugins can be dynamically added to and removed from the anchorage in running time with no influences on the system. The user can dynamically change the organization of the services according to the requirements of the workflow application.The anchorage combines the management engine and the working place.
