With the rapid development of computer technology and information technology, current human-machine interative manner cannot satisfy human' s requirements; so how to make machine intelligently communicate with human and thus get more natural and friendly Interactive Interface has became research hotspot. Speech synthesis is one of the most important area in this field, this thesis will concentrate on inventory design, prosodic modeling and synthesis algorithm.TTS system based on large corpus has been widely applied on high-performance machine, but it is incompetent for embed system because of the bottle-neck of storage. So the core of the problem is to balance the conflict between inventory and output quality, this thesis present a tradeoff algorithm for embed-system inventory design according to mandarin syllable' s characteristic, using MFCC well perceive by ear to measure the distortion between each two syllables, and using dynamic-programming algorithm to optimize the measurement process. According to the syllable occurrence frequency, the structure of inventory was confirmed. Then, modified k-means cluster algorithm was employed to select the represent of the corresponding toned syllable, simultaneity considering the following processing, select several candidate to optimize the inventory.In the process of communication between human, prosodic component imply special information that cannot be expressed by letters, thus it is very important to model the context prosodic...
