The Notes and Commentaries of the Analects of Confucius(《论 语注疏》is one of The Notes and Commentaries of the Thirteen Classic Works(十三经注疏). Many scholars have paid great attention to it all through the ages. The Notes and Commentaries of the Analects of Confucius block-printed by Ruan Yuan has been regarded as the best edition since its first edition appeared. However, due to the limited objective condition at that time, the editions used to be collated belonged to the same edition system. Based on this reason, there are some mistakes in it. These faults were inconvenient for researchers' use. Fortunately, the majuscule edition of the Notes and Commentaries of the Analects of Confucius block-printed in Shu(蜀)during the South Song Dynasty which was collected in Royal Library of Japan has been photocopied by Traditional Thread Binding Publishing House, in Sept., 2001. This earlier edition reserved the original edition's modality. Depending on this earlier edition, we could correct lots of errors in the edition block-printed by Ruan Yuan. Based on the earlier edition, this article makes some amendments. To sum up, this article is written for scholars' reference of The Notes and Commentaries of the Analects of Confucius.
