Embedded system access Internet is an inevitable step, that is people's control feeler extends towards life from produce work. It is also one of the hot problems that it is studied by the present embedded system. Before this technology is produced, people must make use of special circuit to control the long-distance apparatus. Now, they can do this by embedded Internet directly. After realizing Webserver function in an embedded system, the administrator can visit and control the system by standard Web browser (such as Internet Explorer) in any time, at anyplace. This paper further investigates principle and thought of TCP/IP stack, combining the concrete requirement of embedded Webserver, put forward a way of reduction TCP/IP stack on singlechip, also validates the way feasibility by the realization of an embedded TCP/IP stack. On the base of introduction in definition, classification and development of the embedded system, this paper debates the meaning of embedded system access Internet and studying of the current situation both at home and abroad in the networking embedded system. This paper also explains the application prospect of embedded Webserver. Then it points out the mentality of designing of the hardware and software while utilizing the singlechip to drive RTL8019AS directly, regarding realization of embedded WeServer as the example. Based the hardware, this paper realizes a minimum embedded Webserver which simply finish Web dynamic service and Web control. Finally, it carries out detailed test on the system. By the test, it proves the reduction thinking feasible and the embedded Webserver runs steady and reliable. There are two unique characteristics in this paper. One is realizing TCP re-transmission with a serial chain, and proving this scheme is feasible by test. The other is putting forward a method to ulteriorly simplify ARP, according to the characteristic of the minimum embedded Webserver system.
