With the rapid development of spatial information technology, there are lots of methods to get spatial data rapidly. Especially we can get the remote sensing image data that has short period and plenty of information conveniently. So remote sensing image data become the main part of spatial data. How to organize, manage and store the remote sensing image data that has different source, resolution and time become the hot point of research.In this paper, a draft based on J2EE is put forward considering the requirement of how to organize, manage, select and release the remote sensing image data. At the same time, introduce the internal and overseas development of remote sensing image database, and give some successful application demonstration. Manage the image date baseing on the combation of file and databse; The system bases on the J2EE frame and adopt MVC development pattern;And the web tier uses Struts frame that takes charge of the flow control;Persistence tier uses Hibernate frame to call the database; Oracle stores the metadata of image data;ArcIMS offer the map service.At the design part, introduce the storge design of remote sensing image data, tiers design, database design, user interface design;At the implement part, introduce the organization of all kinds of data, Ajax engine, AOI, spatial search strategy. And introduce the implement of the client tier ,logic tier and persistence tier.In the end, summarize the process of design and implement, and put forward the improvement advice.
