In the research of microwave energy, the key problem is the design of microwave resonance cavity. The coaxial resonant cavity with a capacitance load has been interested by more and more researcher, because of its special and collect electromagnetic characteristic. Especially it is interesting in the aspects of microwave disinfection and microwave thruster.In this paper aim at the application of the coaxial cavity resonator in the aspect of microwave energy, we build the electromagnetic model of the coaxial cavity resonator by the CST MICROWAVE STUDIOTM, analyses the distributing of the electromagnetic field in the cavity, and discuss its characteristic and strongpoint. The mostly content are:1.We sum up the history, the actuality and the pop problem of the application of microwave energy. We comprehensively introduce the research work of microwave disinfection and microwave thruster, and analyze the characteristic of the coaxial cavity resonator, especially its distributing of electromagnetic field.2 . We general introduce the principle of microwave disinfection and the mechanism of electroporation. In the direction of electromagnetic theory and the l of the mechanism of electroporation, the coaxial cavity resonator is be built by the means of CST MICROWAVE STUDIO?. The scheme of microwave disinfection based on it is explained, and the strongpoint and characteristic are set forth. By the results of simulation we can find the electric field in the cavity can satisfy the request of microwave disinfection.3.In the aspect of microwave thruster, firstly the theory about microwave thruster is introduced. In the electromagnetic simulation of we discus the plasma electromagnetic behavior by the Drude model in the CST MICROWAVE STUDIO?. The plasma is equivalently looked as a simple media in this condition. At the same time we validate this method in the similar research of MPCVD by the means of electromagnetic simulation. And we design the matching structure between the transmission line and the cavity. From the simulation results we can find that in the field...
