Pulse compression technique is widely used in modern radar systems. It solves the contradiction between the range and velocity resolution. Large time-bandwidth product signals such as linear frequency modulation signals (LFM) are used in pulse compression technique to improve the resolution in range domain. The receiver receives the echoes of targets including clutter and the targets are easy disappeared in the clutters. Big clutter can be differentiated from targets through the difference between them in frequency domain and eliminated. Then targets can be detected correctly. This dissertation mainly studies the radar digital pulse compression processing in frequency domain, mobile target indication (MTI) and mobile target detection (MTD) system based on two pieces of ADSP-TS203. In this dissertation the pulse compression performances of linear frequency modulation signals (LFM) and the algorithm of MTI/MTD are analyzed. Programme and its optimization of them based on 2 pieces of ADSP-TS203 are introduced in detail. Results of simulation and system test show this system can ensure real-time processing and all the parameters can also meet the requirements. The main content and creative work in this dissertation include:1. Simulate the echoes of the radar, namely produce the LFM signals with band width equaling 5MHz, time width in 9μs~42μs and analyze them in frequency domain pulse compression. At the same time suppress the clutter and indicate targets.2. Design the pulse compression program of one piece of ADSP-TS203. Complete the program and optimization of radix-2 FFT independently, which meets real-time processing.3. Design and debug MTI/MTD program of one piece of ADSP-TS203.4. Test and debug the system based on two pieces of ADSP-TS203. Comparison with simulation results this design is proved to be right.
