This topic comes from the combination of eJavaPOS and Fiscal Cash Register, mainly studying embedded development and testing under platform of eJavaPOS.eJavaPOS is an open and general platform facing to embedded POS and suitable to the specification of JavaPOS, the standard of tax controlling and the financial standards of state. JavaPOS provides a good solution for the problems of the translatability, dynamic loading, safety and cross-platform of embedded POS system .it can support other 3rd party developing application easily, simplifies and standardizes the developing flow of POS application, and shorten developing cycle and the time of coming into the market of application system. UnifiedPOS is an international architectural specification for application interfaces to point-of -service devices that are used in the retail environment .it specifies all of POS device uniformly and is independent from operation system and language in the meanwhile in 1997, Sun Microsystem Inc. established the JavaPOS standards. JavaPOS standards committee was formed by a collection of retail vendors and end users, with a primary goal of providing device interfaces for the retail applications written in Java. UnifiedPOS has two implement methods at present: OPOS base on OLE and JavaPOS base on Java. OPOS can only run on Microsoft System, which make it not only limit on platform but require to pay expensive royalty. This limits its development. However, the MCUs of TAX-Controlled Cash Registers mainly sailed on today's market are most 8 or 16-bit MCUs, and their functions can not meet the needs of consumers any more. So, under this background, we have designed and developed the new-generation of Tax-controlled Cash Register based on embedded system with 32-bit ARM CPU.This paper states the specific design of embedded eJavaPOS platform from three aspects:1.
