The Design Of Xml-based Embedded Operating System Configuration Tools And Realization

Embedded System is a kind of specific computer system centered on application. It bases on computer technology, and has scalable hardware and software. A embedded system also has to meet the requirement of applications, which have strict restriction on function, solidity, cost, bulk and power loss. From 1990's, the embedded system developed very quickly and expanded in more and more field with the push of the enlarging requirement of distributed control, digital communication and consume electronic.The expanding of embedded system application fields enhanced the requirement of embedded software development. The integrated development environment (IDE) for embedded software is needed urgently in order to meet this requirement,Every embedded system faces the specific application field and the scalability is the most import function and feature of embedded operating system. So the integrated development environment for embedded software must have the ability to configure the embedded OS flexible. Most popular IDE provides the graphical configuration tool to decrease the difficulty of the embedded software development and increase the development efficiency.But there is few configuration tool provided by the popular IDE can managed all the configuration work through graphical configuration interface because they don't have extensibility and can't adapt the change of configuration object.In order to solve this problem and to provide an excellent configuration tool, an extensible embedded OS configure model base on XML technology was purposed in this paper after enough analysis on those popular configuration tool. This configuration model archived the flexible extensibility by dividing the configuration object and the graphical configure interface. This tool is high efficient and user comfortable. It can manage to adapt the change of configuration object of a specific OS easily.
