Component Configuration System Based On Eclipse Plug-in

Component Configuration System is widely used in information configuration field of the internet of things. At present there are some mature component configuration systems which have already been used in the market, but they are mostly used in electric power industry without generality in a majority of industries. And they are also hard to extend in software. The road lighting management system is essential in the daily life of modern city. With the continuous development of society and technology, the road lighting management system has been becoming a logo of modern city. The traditional means that includes configuration, management and maintenance procedures of the road lighting management system could not meet the development requirements of modern life. This paper proposed a component configuration system based on plug-in software of open software of Eclipse GEF structure, and it is successfully used in a project of road lighting management system of the internet of things.This paper makes an analysis of the problems that the basic public facility planning and configuration management system faced. Then the advantages of a plug-in application development based on the Eclipse Plug-in platform are proved to improve these issues. And the theories and techniques of system, including the overview of Eclipse platform and Plug-in Development, the overview of SWT, the overview of JFace, the overview of MVC, and the GEF graphics editor framework are discussed. The key points and difficulties of the technologies are analyzed. Then a reasonable system requirements analysis is made from the problems above. The detailed design of each module, templates and engines are planned. Eventually taking the road lighting management system as an example, a visual road lighting configuration graphics editor system is made. It includes the city road planning configuration, road light planning.The system has an effective way to input a large amount of data to management system, display the statistical work vividly and make statistics rapidly. The goal of system is to achieve the quickness of input, and easiness of management. The system has been running successfully in FengShan Road of Changqing District, Jinan. It has achieved a good effect, and helps to improve the efficiency of the device information management.
