Phased Array Radar System Simulation And Interference

Phased array radar is a detective system with multiple function, high reliability and adaptive ability, spatially the rapid scan and beam shape change characteristic of phased array antenna made its application more and more abroad.Phased array radar is a bulky and complex system. To simulate it realistically, we must analyze its structure and working principle. Then carry through its function decomposition and synchronization, turn it into mathematic model and change into simulation model which is suit to computer simulation, then carry on the simulation and verification.Several critical technologic problems of simulation system of phased array radar are discussed in this paper, Firstly, transmission and processing procedure of signal in the phased array radar system are analyzed and the simulation systemic modular structure of phased array radar is founded. And the collectively simulation procedure are discussed.Among all parts of whole phased array radar system, the phased array antenna is the most critical one, because the veracity and accuracy of the radar system simulation is directly influenced by it. Particular mathematic analysis is made about the characteristics and modeling methods of phased array antenna, especially of the density-weighted antenna. Theory analysis and simulation are made about the circular–caliber weight, circular-Tylor distribution and Bayliss circular–caliber weight. And the adaptive beam forming using SMI (Sampled Matrix Inversion) method is discussed and validated through simulation.The signal processing procedure of phased array radar using LFM signal, matching filtering, distance side-lobe restrain are discussed and video signal processing procedure simulation is completed. To the single pulse angle measuring, phase comparison and phase sum-difference angle measuring method are discussed and compared. Sum-difference channel modeling and simulation are made.Based on system research and signal processing discussed above, some basically jamming methods are discussed and simulated.
