Not only they provide high quality communication, but also provide a variety of useful applications. It comes prepackaged as a robust, secure, system-independent, and scalable platform. J2ME target are Consumer devices. Its characters make it prevalent development platform in mobile devices. Supported by well-known companies, such as Sun Microsystems, Nokia and Motorola, J2ME-based development became hot.Mobile telephone is the most prevalent mobile communication device. As the capability improved, the entertainment market based on the mobile phone will be a new business increase point, following the PC entertainment. More and more developers and communities are being involved in it. The need of J2ME-based applications increase as the value-added service market does.This article is an introduction to the design and implementation of the mobile game engine framework based on J2ME that author take part in. The framework is a good example of component-based development in J2ME environment. And make a description about the object-oriented game development based on the experience the author accumulated in the projects. The article will focus on the following points:1. The architecture and function of the J2ME platform. And the prevalent mobile phone systems and their support about J2ME.2. Introduction to isometric game, describe its characters and presentation about game.3. The introduction to the analysis of the engine framework.
