Remote video monitoring system is a systematic project which aims at the protection of public security and the prevention of disasters. It is widely used in banks, intellectualized districts, financial systems and super markets. Pictures were transferred from local monitoring systems to the remote PC via modem in the past. But it is restricted that modem has a low speed and a high error bit rate. Compared with serial bus, there are several benefits in TCPMP networks such as high speed, low error bit rate based on its rectifying system. It is discussed in this dissertation how to transfer pictures to a remote PC via TCPMP protocol, which not only improved the transfer speed to a large degree, but also reduced the error bit rate and enhanced the worth of usage of the monitoring system. It is divided into six chapters this dissertation. In Chapter 1, the background and history of monitoring system is introduced, including analog and digital systems. In Chapter 2, it is described the hardware platform. The ARM S3C4510B develop board made by WXL.Co, Beijing is used in this system, and a CMOS sensor is added to in addition. In Chapter 3, the software platform is described, such as uClinux OS and the boot loader program. It is analyzed the kernel of uClinuc and the source code which have been modified according the hardware. And the effect of boot load is discussed detailed in this dissertation. Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 are the main sections of this dissertation. In chapter 4, it is introduced the realization of image collecting base on CMOS in detail. First, it is analyzed the principium of HV7131E CMOS image sensor and its timing diagram, then discussed the flow process of how to collecting image, and the concrete source code is also discussed in the last part. In Chapter 5, it is completed the image transfer protocol base on TCPMP protocol. The TCPMP protocol is introduced firstly, and then the Socket program technology is discussed in detail which is used in this dissertation. Secondly, it is analyzed the flow and source code of image transfer. The system is tested when the software is completed, and also analyzed the strongpoint of the network.
