LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) digital color photofmishing is a brand new technology which uses LCOS display chip with the digital processing and controlling function of PC to realize non-film and total digitalized color pictures. It has the advantages of pure color reproductions, easily using, sooth gradations, etc.This paper mainly introduced a new solution of the output control system for LCOS photofmishing based on USB transfer. A CPLD (Complex Programmable Logic Device) was used to control the SRAM and to generate the XGA (Extended Graphics Array) signal.This paper could be divided into four parts. The first part includes the first chapter and the second chapter, which introduced the principles and the main application of LCOS digital photofmishing system. The third chapter and fourth chapter are focused on the solution of the output control system, which are the second part. We introduced the hardware and software design in the third part, which includes the fifth chapter and sixth chapter. The last part is the seventh chapter, and the experimental results are in this part.
