Based On Arcgis Battlefield Target Information System Design And Implementation

Being the most important part of the battlefield, the battlefield important objects take the important place in the information war of the future. How to regulate these important objects is the important task that the General Staff assigns to the Survey Institutue.This paper puts forward a resolve project that based on the ArcGIS platform designs the Battlefield Important Object Regulating System. This project is developed and configured based on the .NET Frame, regulating and distributing integrativly the multiscale, multi mapsheet, and all details geographical information, important objects, documents, military geographic documentations and multimedia informations. This project uses the power Oracle Data Base and the Spatial Database Engine to correspond uniformly and regulate intercurrently all data. It takes the integrative technology of the GIS and MIS to meet different demands.This system is composed of three layers and one support hierarchy. The three layers are the front battlefield geographical application, the middle application and the back battlefield geographical management. The support hierarchy is safe and standard organizational.This system is limited in the software and hardware. It must include the ArcGIS platform, the .NET Frame and the Oracle Database. One side these softwares are very huge and very unreadable for the laypeople. On the other hand theses softwares are very expsive. And because this system is not put on rations in the army and is not developed strictly according to the operation flowing, it must be perfected so as to meet the practical demands.
