Since the development of the electronic technology, more and more electronic control device are used in automobile, which made the wires being more complex. In nowadays, we pursue the miniaturization of automobile, but the wide and big wire take many valued space on automobile, and become harder to install at privy space. For the sake of those problems, automobile network is coming using the reference of computer network and the field bus control technology. This paper mainly discusses the Hardware and Linux Device Drivers Design of Embedded Automobile Network System, and it has made a good prepare for the use of the automobile network system. The project research and develop an automobile network system with self-knowledge property right, and is a center controlling platform, which mainly based on ARM9 processor AT91RM9200 and embedded Linux. The system is based on CAN bus, which can connect with electronic control units or data units easily. So, it enhanced the agility at the physical place of each unit. The article introduces the hardware design of the system from choose of components, the schematic and the PCB design in details. The system design the hardware in modules, such as kernel panel, bottom panel, CAN extended panel and display extended panel. At the Linux device drivers, this article mainly introduces the common method and step of write a device driver, and describes the CAN driver, I2C driver and the serial port driver in detail.
