Recent advances in three-dimensional scanner equipment, the performance of PC and the network make browsing the high-resolution three-dimensional models possible to experts and common users. The thesis presents the image-based high-resolution representation technique of three dimensional model which is the applicable method for the demand. This technique make user possible to utilize the high-performance visualization system on server which can complete the rendering and exploration of the remote virtual scene. However the technique itself has some drawbacks in the network environment and we will apply some optimization to the key steps to decrease the delay.First the application and technical status of domestic and foreign three-dimensional visualization are analyzed. The thesis divide the main technologies into three categories, Web 3D, remote visualization, IBR-based Panoramas.By the comparison of traditional local rendering structure and remote rendering structure, the thesis points out the existing problems and presents solutions to the key steps.1. Decease the data size to be transferred through IBR-based image compression algorithm2. Realize the individualization of clients through dynamic adjusting data size to be transferred3. Decrease the reacting time for interactive request through multi-cache system4. Decrease the chance of remote visualization through combined local and remote rendering, forecast of the client request. The forth part of the thesis complete the design and realize the real system, networked high-resolution representation platform of digitized relic, on the basis of those techniques mentioned above. And the platform is also applied in the project of the research of key techniques of relic reservation for Jinsha archaeological site and the project of the research and application of key techniques of relic digitization.
