The 1553B bus criterion was released by USA as a standard of interconnecting theinner electronic systems of plane at the end of 1970s'. Moreover, it's also a stimulus to theprogress of plane. Now, it was put into use in many fields widely such as aeronautics, astronautics and military platform. A flexible software-simulated terminal is necessarywhen we test devices of a 1553B bus system. However, there're many shortcomings in theprocess of contemporary software development including emulator software. Theseshortcomings affect the quality of development badly. Therefore a new analysis and designmethod, names MDD (Model Driven Development), was worked out to solve theseproblems.Model can simplify the problem of read world. It helps us to delaminate thosecomplex problems, and then we can resolve it easier. MDD is an iterative, incrementalsoftware development process where the model of a system is iteratively refined into anexecutable system via a series of systematic mapping transformations. In order to import this new method, this lecture introduces the process of developing asoftware emulator of 1553B bus, which adopted the MDD by the help of TELELOGICTAU. During this process the work that transforming requirement to model by use ofmodeling, and then to code after long-times' experiment and investigation was finished. After that not only we got a 1553B bus software emulator which can help us greatly, butalso the MDD method was validated to be feasible finally.
