With the Computer System becoming huger, the complexity of system increase continuously;at the same time, with the developing of IT application for key operation, there is more and more request for the computer system from enterprise. Computer System should be easier for management and maintenance, be High Availability. In fact, the current Computer System could not meet the demand day after day, the reformation is necessary for the design and management of Compute System.Base on the current demand of Computer System, author selected a new computing idea, Autonomic Computing equips the computer for ability of intelligent self-management, it includes self-managing, self-healing, self-protecting and self-optimizing. Autonomic Computing could solve the problem of complexity for Computer System, and realize the High Availability.In this paper, we studied Autonomic Computing and High Availability system, and discussed cluster technology and partition technology. On the base of above, we designed and realized an Autonomic Computing objected High Availability system. The point of this paper is listed as follows:1. Establish an opened management framework on the base of WBEM (Web-Based Enterprise Management) standard.2. Design a Prediction Driven Autonomic Model according the feature of this system.3. Design a 3-layed architecture, including resource control, logical control and user management.Combining cluster technology and partition technology, objecting to Autonomic Computing, this paper designed and implemented a practical High Availability system, Virtual Operation Environment System.
