Wearable Computing is a brand new computing paradigm and technology, which has grown up with a certain scale since last 90th and become into a cutting edge field of computing world.Wearable Computer is a class of new conceptual personal mobile computing system, because of diversity, complexity, particularity of wearable computers 'tasks, which need an exterior computing environment and relevant software system ,depending on the service supplied by the supporting system ,which can make up Wearable Computer's limited resourses ,extend it's function,therefore enlarge the applying field of wearable computer. It is obvious that Infrastructure software plays a key role in making fully use of wearable's advantages. The very close research works on wearable software are relatively weak, there is an only few of references and achievements on it. This paper focused on the infrastructures supporting software of wearable computing and the related research works include the service computing environment, pattern, model and system structure of wearable supporting software. We presents an XML/JAVA based service-oriented supporting system,which may resolve many issues that wearable computing has met, such as local recourses limit, diversity and variety of tasks,heterogeneous platforms and networks of computing environment, etc . We also have carried out researches on adaptive interface for wearable computer. The main works and conclusions are shown as follows:We discuss the advantages of service oriented technology in developing application of wearable computing ..We analyze the special functions and characteristic of Wearable Computer and Service Environment.We analyze the requirements of WearableComputing Supporting System.We design a Service-oriented Wearable Computing Supporting System. This system adopt XML to specify user interface and interact events, offering a portable graphic service manner for wearable computer user.We design a service framework for repairing device appling,and develop a flexible crossplatform GUI base on the framework. we provids initial implement and experiment.. The project will lead to novel infrastructures and methods for wearable software and provide key technology and experience for the application and research of wearable.
